Günther Harms: „Black lives and all lives – must matter!“

Günther Harms hat uns ein Lied geschickt:

Black lives matter, what can a skin-colour say?
Black lives matter – racism is an evil way.
Muslim lives matter – Christian, Hindu do as well
Muslim lives matter, any religion has a truth to tell.
Jewish lives matter – what a unique German crime,
are millions of victims a lesson for all time?

Refrain:
All lives matter, but we refuse to see.
As long as money and might set the rules,
arms are sold and wars are tools.
As long as hate can be born,
clothes of injustice are worn.
As long as we don’t start to look inside
each other with our hearts open wide,
we deny the aim of humanity
many lose the chance to feel better and free.

Children’s lives matter – often growing up with hunger and fear.
Children’s lives matter, lets avoid so many tears.
Refugees’ lives matter – desperation is the reason for flight.
Refugees’ lives matter, where is their human right?
Poor people’s lives matter – poverty beyond our door,
the gap between poor and rich, it grows more and more.

All lives …

Our lives matter – it is time to speak
thousands of voices, no need to feel weak.
Our lives matter – we must start these days
So many things to do in so many ways.
Our lives matter – let’s not forget climate change
If we don’t act now, it will soon be too late to re-arrange …

Günther Harms ist Vater erwachsener Kinder und Großvater und lebt in Hilpoltstein bei Nürnberg. Er schrieb uns: „Mit dem Einsatz für Frieden, gegen Krieg und seine Ursachen arbeiten Sie an einem riesigen Problemfeld (…). Menschliches Leben ist auf vielfältige Weise bedroht! Das Anliegen für Ihr Engagement spiegelt sich in dem von mir gesandten Lied wieder: Jedes Leben ist wichtig und zählt! Aus dieser Grundeinstellung heraus hatte ich vor gut sechs Monaten das Bedürfnis, als diese schlimme Sache mit George Floyd in den USA passierte, ein Lied zum Wert eines jeden Lebens zu schreiben. (…) Vielleicht fühlen Sie sich damit ein wenig bestärkt (…) in Ihrem wertvollen Tun!“
